The Mozart Festival continues with another event coming up on Wednesday night.  An unusual choral partnership will give a different take on the festival. Here's Trinity University's Gary Seighman.

SAN ANTONIO, TX; November 29, 2016 – The San Antonio Choral Society (SACS) presented it’s 3rd annual “Handel’s Messiah Community Sing-Along” at Travis Park United Methodist Church on Saturday. That night, hundreds of voices throughout San Antonio joined to sing the Christmas portion of Handel’s Messiah and collect donations for a worthy cause. On this year’s “Giving Tuesday,” SACS and Corazon Ministries, Inc. (CMI) shared the results of the event.

On September 20, 2016, the San Antonio Tricentennial Commission announced the San Antonio Choral Society among 40 other community partners for the city's celebration, which is to be held in 2018. The announcement took place at the non-profit commission's new office in the Centro de Artes Building, found in Market Square.
